Social media is growing - be a part of it!

It isn’t a secret that social media is growing in importance and that the healthcare industry has been a late bloomer when jumping on the Social Media bandwagon.  Although many industry leaders recognize the importance of social media in healthcare they are concerned with how to integrate it in the environment.

Healthcare staffing agency’s have a little faster adoption of social media than the rest of the industry because they are not as fearful of HIPPA regulations. Many healthcare staffing agencies are even going as far as creating their own Apps and hiring people just manage social media.  In fact many several surveys have echoed very similar results that healthcare staffing providers prefer to be contacted via social media or SMS.

Social media has become so popular in healthcare recruiting that many healthcare recruiting and staffing software solutions have the ability to connect your social media accounts and post directly to your social media outlets.  Just recently here at BlueSky we announced the release of our Facebook integration to add to our CareerBuilder and Twitter integrations already in place.

Although posting directly from your healthcare recruiting and staffing software is important you want to ensure that you are not taking the “social” aspect out of social media.  Training your healthcare recruiters on the social media best practices will help build their social networks and in turn staff more positions.
