Available Positions:
Sales and Marketing Assistant
Sales and Marketing Assistant performs a variety of clerical and administrative activities to support the sales and marketing staff. The Sales Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of information and follow up for existing and prospective customers. This position reports to the sales director.
The Sales Assistant’s primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Processing sales leads and trade show follow up assuring leads are directed to the appropriate staff member
- Phone contacts to augment the efforts of the sales staff as needed
- Processing sales data, sales progress reports and other sales related records and reports
- Answers telephone calls, conveys messages, monitors the flow of leads, and directs questions to appropriate personnel when necessary
- Social networks – monitoring of activity, question answering, content creation, trend analyzing, issue resolving
- Web traffic and source analytics monitoring and reporting against key performance indicators
- Website maintenance and search engine optimization – updating and improving content, helping to ensure the site structure is search engine efficient, maintenance of target keywords and phrases (with a supporting content plan to drive better rankings), ensuring all SEO activity is aligned to the particular products/services etc of the organization
- Database marketing – maintenance of lists, segmentation, goal setting and tracking (e.g. conversion)
- Paid Search – success tracking and testing of different key words/phrases, return on investments reporting
- Working with external PR and others in the pursuit of high quality and relevant inbound links and recommendations etc
- Contribute a passion and ongoing knowledge of Internet and digital marketing as a key member of the marketing team
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Strong understanding of technologies and how they can be applied to marketing
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate, 4 year college graduate preferred. B.A. in marketing, business or organizational development a plus
- Excellent telephone skills and computer knowledge with proficiency in database management, word processing and website maintenance
- Demonstrated proficiency composing written communications
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day to-day activities
- Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented
- 1-2 years previous job experience with sales and marketing support experience
